NextMove for iPhone
Find ideas for an outing on a small budget
NextMove's free web guides identify specific free experiences and their paid extras. In the iPhone app, budget preferences help shape a suggested outing, but costs are estimates and app features require a NextMove Pro subscription.
Start with the free part of the experience
A public park walk, a museum's general collection, and a market browse can each be free while nearby activities cost money. Our free-activity guides identify the selected experience, link its official visitor information, and distinguish parking, special exhibitions, food, tours, or equipment from general entry.
Choose the activity itself before adding optional purchases. A market visit does not include lunch, and a museum's free collection does not necessarily include a temporary exhibition. An outing can stay inexpensive when everyone understands which part is free and which extras they intend to use.
Use the app budget as a planning preference
Set your budget along with location, interests, time, group size, and transportation. NextMove generates an outing with estimated costs that you can review. Treat the budget as a preference to check against real prices, not a guaranteed spending cap enforced at the venue.
If a stop is too costly, replace it or remix the plan and then check the new suggestions. Keep the journey short where possible: transport or parking can cost more than the free activity. A selected neighborhood route is easier to assess than several free attractions spread across a city.
Keep app access and outing costs clear
The website's city guides are free to read. NextMove for iPhone is free to download, but its planning features require NextMove Pro. Subscription prices and trial eligibility are displayed before purchase. A free attraction recommendation does not make the app's features free.
Before leaving, confirm that the free experience applies to your visit date and visitor type. A resident discount, member benefit, or occasional free day is different from public free entry. Check reservation requirements too: some experiences require advance arrangements even when admission does not have a charge.
Questions, answered
Does the app guarantee a zero-cost outing?
No. Costs are estimates, and transport, parking, purchases, and venue conditions can add spending. Check each stop directly.
Can I read the free-activity guides without subscribing?
Yes. The web guides are free to read. The iPhone app's features require NextMove Pro.
